We were approached by the designers at Princess Yachts to help develop a custom profile for their V74 motor yacht.

A fendering profile was required to fit around the bathing platform of their stunning V74. The profile also had to deliver in terms of appearance and performance as would be expected of a world-class brand.

Design considerations included the need to retain a tubular stainless steel insert whilst the PVC profile had to be colour matched to the new hull colour created especially for the release of their new model.

With the aid of our Fanuc CNC Robowire our toolmakers were able to quickly create the tooling required to prepare a prototype for testing.

Following feedback from the designers at Princess the die was then fine-tuned for the required fit. Approval was then granted for the custom, colour matched material before production started to fulfil the order requirements.
