Site visitation and tracking
Like most websites, this site uses Google Analytics (GA) to track user interaction. We use this data to determine the number of people using our site, to better understand how they find and use our web pages and to see their journey through the website.
Although GA records data such as your geographical location, device, internet browser and operating system, none of this information personally identifies you to us. GA also records your computer’s IP address which could be used to personally identify you but Google do not grant us access to this. Google also claim that they anonymise this data meaning that even they cannot personally identify you from this data. We consider Google to be a third party data processor.
GA makes use of cookies, details of which can be found on Google’s developer guides. FYI our website uses the analytics.js implementation of GA.
We retain our GA data for 38 months after which time it is automatically deleted.
To prevent GA from tracking your journey through this website we recommend installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on extension for your web browser.
Disclosure of your personal information
Your personal information will not be disclosed to third parties unless either you agree or we are required to do so to comply with our legal or regulatory requirements.
Any information that you provide to us may be processed by Wilks and, where appropriate, shared with and processed by our distributors. Should your enquiry be serviced by your local distributor, this may entail a transfer of your information to outside the EEA where the level of protection may not be as comprehensive as it is within the EEA. Procedures have been put in place to ensure that your Personal Data is adequately protected and we will only share this information with distributors that have confirmed to be compliant with GDPR to ensure standards of safety and security are maintained.
If in the future we re-organise or transfer all or part of our business, we may need to transfer your information to new entities or to third parties through which the business of Wilks will be carried out.
It is possible, although unlikely, that we may be forced to disclose personally identifiable information in response to legal process or when we believe in good faith that the law or regulation requires it. We will use reasonable endeavours to notify you before we do this unless we are legally restricted from doing so.
Collection of information by third party sites and sponsors
Our website contains links to other sites whose information practices may be different than ours. Visitors should consult the other sites’ privacy policies as we have no control over information that is submitted to, or collected by, these third parties.
We may post information about events that are sponsored or co-sponsored by other organisations. Should you choose to register for any of these events, we will have no control over the third-party sponsor’s use of your information.
