ISO 14001: Second Year CERTIFIED
Flexiteek International Ltd has proudly received ISO: 14001 certification for the second consecutive year. This recognition highlights our commitment to continually advancing our environmental management system, as the ISO: 14001 standard requires annual re-accreditation to ensure ongoing improvement.
Across our Tollesbury production facility, the teams have been working hard to implement our policies and processes. The ISO : 14001 standard assesses several key areas across our business, including:
- Context of the organization
- Leadership
- Planning
- Support
- Operations
- Performance evaluations
- Improvements
By demonstrating compliance and adhering to the accreditation framework, Flexiteek International Ltd is effectively managing its environmental systems.
As confirmation of our accreditation came in, we started our second year submission for our Ecovadis accreditation. In 2023 we were awarded the Bronze Award and in 2024 we have received a ‘Committed’ badge to show our continuing improvement.
What Have We Done?
As you would expect, this is not a ‘quick fix’ process. It takes a high level of commitment by the entire team over the year.
And we’ve made significant strides during the last twelve months, such as increasing our recycling capabilities for internal waste, improving storage and filing systems for greater efficiency, and developing stringent policies for safeguarding. This progress has been a collaborative effort throughout the offices and the production teams.
The ISO: 14001 accreditation reassures our customers and suppliers that we are committed to minimising our environmental impact.
Next Steps
While we take pride in this achievement, we recognise that our work is ongoing. With annual re-accreditation, Flexiteek International Ltd will continue to develop, review, and implement improvements to ensure we are operating at our highest potential.
