Wilks is in Safe Hands

Wilks is in safe hands. Arturo Minervini and Sam Maxted have completed their three-day British Red Cross first aid at work certificates.

Machine Setter, Arturo and Linishing Supervisor, Sam volunteered to complete the first aid at work certificates, providing them with lifesaving skills.

The practical hands-on course ran by the Red Cross provided them with the necessary first aid knowledge to respond to a wide range of workplace accidents, injuries and illnesses.

The course included both practical demonstrations, quizzes and coaching.

Sam commented “I really enjoyed attending the course and now feel confident to provide first aid at work. The course opened my eyes to a wide range of accidents that could take place.”

Scott Berry, Joint Managing Director, added: “It is always great to see members of the team volunteer to help out. We were all proud to see both Arturo and Sam opting to further their professional skills. It feels more safe around here already.”

Arturo and Sam push the Wilks first aider team up to four, alongside experienced first aiders Dave Smith and Jeff Webber.
